The Cascade Cougars will head out on the road to  take on  the Stayton Eagles at 4:30  p.m.  on Monday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
 On Thursday, Cascade was able to grind out a solid  victory over North Marion, taking the game  9-4.
  Jaelyn Lowry spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on five hits and racked up 11 Ks.
 At the plate,  Malia Scanlan was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  runs, two  doubles,  and a  triple. The team also got some help courtesy of  Haylee Kastl, who  went 3-for-3 with a  home run and two  RBI.
 Meanwhile, Stayton narrowly escaped with a  win as the  team sidled past Newport  5-3.
 Cascade has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record  this season. As for Stayton, their victory was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-3.
 Cascade might still be hurting after the  18-4 loss they got from Stayton  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2023. Can Cascade avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
