Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Indianapolis Arsenal Technical). Everything went their way against the Christel House Eagles on Thursday as they made off with a 31-4 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Titans considering their two-run performance the contest before.
Manuel Plata made a big impact no matter where he played. He struck out ten batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off only one hit. Plata was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in six of his seven plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jorge Mendoza, who went 5-for-6 with six RBI, four runs, and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Yasir Arzu, who went 4-for-6 with four runs, four RBI, and one double.
Indianapolis Arsenal Technical's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-9. As for Christel House, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 0-7-1.
