Winning always takes teamwork, but on Wednesday Payton Payne stepped things up a notch to give Jefferson Davis Academy the 'W'. Payne scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, which was good enough to also set a new career-high in RBI.

Payne and Jefferson Davis Academy will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Colleton Prep Academy at 6:30 p.m. on April 8. Jefferson Davis Academy hasn't beaten Colleton Prep Academy recently, having gone 0-3 since March of 2019.
