After flying high against White Oak  on Tuesday, New Bern came back down to earth. The Bears lost  3-0 to the D.H. Conley Vikings on Thursday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  3-0  back in September.

 Louisa Reno paced New Bern's offense, picking up six kills. Reno got some help from  Naomi Banks and her 16 assists.  Kailyn Shultz controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
  Paige Money had an outrageously good game for D.H. Conley as she  had 18  digs and four  aces. Money has been hot recently, having  posted ten or more  digs the last four times she's  played.  Marley Vestal also deserves some recognition as  she  had her first  blocks of the season.
New Bern's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for D.H. Conley, their win was  their eighth straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 18-1.
 New Bern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next  contest,  a  3-0  defeat against J.H. Rose on the 7th. As for D.H. Conley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next  match,  a  3-0  loss against Green Level on the 6th.
