The Ozaukee Warriors will head out to challenge the Roncalli Jets at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Saturday, Ozaukee came up short against Kiel and fell 7-4.
Brett Paulus made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. Aiden Acevedo also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Meanwhile, Roncalli waltzed into their game on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Raiders as they made off with a 9-3 victory. The result was nothing new for the Jets, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.
Hayden Dewane was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted over his last four matchups. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Roncalli's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 5-7 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Dominik Frozena was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Roncalli: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-8 otherwise.
Roncalli now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Ozaukee, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Ozaukee has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Roncalli struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Ozaukee skirted past Roncalli 4-2 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Warriors since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
