Meanwhile, New Richmond's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They fell 65-54 to Clinton-Massie.
New Richmond might have lost, but man, Rylan Utter was a machine: he scored 15 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Ryan Keith, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Mariemont's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for New Richmond, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
