Norwalk has won three straight games at home, while Legacy has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The Lancers will welcome the Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Norwalk will be strutting in after a victory while Legacy will be coming in after a defeat.
Norwalk is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They never let Dominguez get on the board and left with a 22-0 win last Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Dons: they've now won eight in a row.

Mariah Favela was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (five). She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one double. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game.
In other batting news, Giselle Albidrez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Nayeli Sanchez, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.
Norwalk hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, after some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last four matches, Legacy finally came back down to earth on Saturday. They lost 8-0 to South Hills. The Tigers' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
Legacy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stephanie Salas, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Norwalk's win bumped their record up to 7-9-1. As for Legacy, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.
Monday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Norwalk hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .380. However, it's not like Legacy struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Norwalk skirted past Legacy 4-2 in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Will the Lancers repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
