Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Trinity Chargers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. Their rough 60-36 loss to Lucas Christian Academy on Friday might stick with them for a while. Trinity's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Leading Lucas Christian Academy to victory were Rylee Holman and Rylan Goss. Holman threw for 171 yards and five touchdowns, while Goss gained 149 total yards and three touchdowns. Blaise Simmons was another key contributor, gaining 87 total yards and a touchdown.
Trinity now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Lucas Christian Academy, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-2.
Trinity does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Lucas Christian Academy will face off against Covenant Classical at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Covenant Classical is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
