The Weaver Monarchs lost against the Noli Indian Braves two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Weaver fell to the Braves 33-28. Weaver has struggled against the Braves recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Robert Valencia was nothing short of spectacular for Noli Indian: he scored 21 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ferdencio Morreo, who scored nine points.
Weaver has not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season. As for Noli Indian, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Weaver will head out on the road to face off against the FIREBIRDS at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Palm Valley's favor as the team sits on seven straight wins at home while the Monarchs have been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season. Noli Indian will take on the Eagles at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Desert Chapel: 24.1, the Braves: 27.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
