Basketball Recap: Aiden Wilson's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Hope Christian Academy over First Assembly Christian Academy

Hope Christian Academy played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They lost 63-42 to the First Assembly Christian Academy Eagles. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now lost four in a row.

Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Wilson, who posted 14 points and five steals. Those five steals gave Wilson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Walker Munroe, who put up 12 points and three steals.

It was another big night for Jausten Rivera, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 steals for First Assembly Christian Academy. Rivera is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 14 games he's played. Another player making a difference was BJ Paige, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points and eight rebounds.

Hope Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 9-8. As for First Assembly Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hope Christian Academy will square off against Open Bible Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for First Assembly Christian Academy, they will take on Westwood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
