The Bulloch Academy Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 22 points or more this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Thomas Jefferson Academy 60-28 at home. That's another feather in the cap for Bulloch Academy, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Ashantay Noble was her usual excellent self, almost dropping a triple-double on 25 points, nine rebounds, and 11 steals. Those 25 points set a new season-high mark for her. Maralyne Belcher was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with four steals.
Bulloch Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Thomas Jefferson Academy, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Bulloch Academy will head out on the road to face off against Westminster Schools of Augusta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Thomas Jefferson Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against John Hancock Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 5th.
