The Plumas Charter Warriors will square off against the Tulelake Honkers at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Plumas Charter will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Last Thursday, Plumas Charter got the win against Westwood by a conclusive 21-3. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by 13 runs or more this season.
Jaycee Pew was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off seven hits. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. She has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times she's played.

In other batting news, Alivia Schramel was a standout: she went 3-for-5 with three runs, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Joseph, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Plumas Charter was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .559. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .409 or higher in seven consecutive games.
The home team had won the previous seven meetings between Tulelake and Modoc, and Modoc kept the tradition alive. The Honkers came up short against the Braves on Tuesday, falling 20-0.
Plumas Charter's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-8. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 23.0 runs over those games. As for Tulelake, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-8.
Plumas Charter might still be hurting after the 18-12 loss they got from Tulelake in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Warriors avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
