The Livingston Wolves suffered their biggest loss since December 21, 2023 on Friday. They were outmatched by Riverbank at home and fell 72-42. Livingston was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Riverbank apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Livingston saw an underclassman step up: Adrian Aguirre scored 16 points. That was a full 38.1% of Livingston's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Imanol Gutierrez, who scored six points.
Rolando Bazan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Riverbank, scoring 23 points. Lawrence Diaz was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Livingston has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Riverbank, their win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-6.
Livingston will square off against Ripon at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Ripon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up six on Friday. As for Riverbank, Riverbank and Hilmar will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Hilmar is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
