There's no place like home for the Scotlandville Hornets, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Thursday. They walked away with a 47-36 win over East Ascension on Monday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Scotlandville also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Scotlandville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jamal Drewery out in front who scored 26 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Drewery has scored at least 25% of Scotlandville's points. Another player making a difference was LaMarkus Williams, who scored 4 points along with 20 rebounds and 3 blocks.
Scotlandville now has a winning record of 3-2. As for East Ascension, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.
Scotlandville will head out on the road to face off against McKinley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. East Ascension will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Thibodaux at 5:30 p.m. on December 15th.
