Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Luverne, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 34-17 loss to Goshen. Luverne has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Meanwhile, Reeltown put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They breezed by Horseshoe Bend on the road to the tune of 48-6. The result was nothing new for Reeltown, who have now won six matchups by 27 points or more so far this season.
Jake Hornsby and Arthur Woods were among the main playmakers for Reeltown as the former rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries and the latter rushed for 181 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Woods is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last five games he's played. Alijah Woods made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Reeltown's win bumped their season record to 7-0 while Luverne's defeat dropped theirs to 6-2.
