The Cypress Bay Lightning will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Coral Glades Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Cypress Bay will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Cypress Bay is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Monarch on Friday as Cypress Bay made off with an 18-4 victory. With that win, the Lightning brought their scoring average up to 8.4 runs per game.
Collin Hatfield looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Michael Ramos was a standout: he scored four runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Diego Baron, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Cypress Bay kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Coral Glades is still undefeated this season after their contest against Pompano Beach on Thursday, but Pompano Beach came as close as anyone has to beating them. Coral Glades had just enough and edged out Pompano Beach 5-3. Five seems to be a good number for the Jaguars as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.
Charlie Beaty tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Tyler Villanueva was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. He also put up an RBI, which washis first of the season. Another player making a difference was Brayden Hoskins, who scored a run and stole two bases.
Coral Glades' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-0. As for Cypress Bay, their victory bumped their record up to 2-3.
Coral Glades' pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Cypress Bay hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having hit 0 of their hits per game. It's a different story for Coral Glades, though, as they've only hit 0 of their hits this season. Will they be able to contain Cypress Bay's hitters?
