Daniel extended the longest winning streak in AAA Region I this week by beating Walhalla, 56-0. The victory was the eighth in a row for the Lions.
Seneca's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Bobcats feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Spencer Brothers has thrown for 1500 yards and five touchdowns this season, while Dorian Raines has 66 catches for 1372 yards. Marquis Arnold leads the league in rushing with 1113 yards.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when Seneca takes on Daniel. The Bobcats' offense has racked up 353 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Randy Robinson's team has allowed only 80 on the year.
Belton-Honea Path's Korey Thompson needs only 15 yards against Emerald next week to surpass 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 172 carries Thompson has accumulated 985 yard this year.
A big matchup in AAA Region I this week will be when Seneca takes on the Lions. Bradley Martin's team is currently in fifth, while Daniel is in first.
Palmetto made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,492 from 8,854. The improvement was the result of 24-14 victory over the Mustangs last week.
