Stella Guzek made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Madison Marr was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Tessa Warner also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Columbia was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Saratoga Springs only posted a batting average of .290.
Meanwhile, while Colonie Central put up some runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Chatham. The Wolfpack had just enough and edged out the Panthers 1-0. That's two games straight that the Wolfpack have won by just one run.
Colonie Central saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Chloe Alexander, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Colonie Central's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Columbia hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .321. It's a different story for Colonie Central, though, as they've only averaged .228. Will they be able to contain Columbia's hitters?
Columbia was able to grind out a solid victory over Colonie Central in their previous meeting back in April, winning 6-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Blue Devils since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
