Lamar barely beat Cassville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Tigers were the clear victors by an 11-4 margin over the Wildcats on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Lamar pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Cassville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar will venture away from home to challenge Nevada at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nevada will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Lamar surely won't give up without a fight. As for Cassville, they will take on Monett at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Wildcats are facing the Cubs at the right time seeing as the Cubs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
