After constant struggles on the road, Diamond have finally found some success away from home. They took the matchup and then some with a 46-6 win last Friday over Pleasant Hope.the rankings were on Diamond's side, but they didn't forecast quite such a lopsided result
Diamond got off to a slow start in their game two weeks ago against Liberal/Bronaugh, but they had no such trouble against Pleasant Hope as they cruised to a 40-point first half. Pleasant Hope countered with 6 points, leaving the score at 40-6 going into the half. The Diamond defense stood its ground in the third quarter, giving up 0 and all but finishing the match.
Senior Chad Stephens was the offensive standout of the match for Diamond, as he rushed for 103 yards and 3 touchdowns.
