The Sandwich Indians will face off against the Woodstock Blue Streaks at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams are strolling into their contests after big wins in their previous games.
On Wednesday, Sandwich got the win against Harvard by a conclusive 17-4. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.
Braden Behringer was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off eight hits (and only one walk). He also tossed a walk, which is notable because Sandwich is 2-1 when he allows at most one walk, but 5-8 otherwise. Behringer was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Jeffery Ashley was a standout: he scored four runs and stole four bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Michalek, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.
Sandwich was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Woodstock hadn't done well against Richmond-Burton recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Blue Streaks were the clear victors by a 13-2 margin over the Rockets. The matchup marked the Blue Streaks' most dominant victory of the season so far.
Max Haggerty made a splash while hitting and pitching. He tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Haggerty was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
In other batting news, Woodstock let Angelo Pacini and Chace Waterson run wild. Pacini scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Waterson scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those stolen bases were Pacini's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Chase Willard, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.
Sandwich's win bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Woodstock, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-7.
