Those seven blocks set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Teeter, who scored 11 points along with five steals.
Meanwhile, Edgewood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 56-16 win over Astronaut. That looming 56-16 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Edgewood yet this season.
Edgewood's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Shelby Preble, who scored 16 points along with seven steals. Preble continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alaina Preble, who scored 14 points along with three steals.
Melbourne Central Catholic has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Edgewood, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Melbourne Central Catholic have been smashing the glass this season, having only averaged 30.4 rebounds per game.
