Auburn Riverside scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Kent-Meridian at home to the tune of 87-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Auburn Riverside has posted yet this season.
Meanwhile, Auburn Mountainview put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They claimed a resounding 88-42 win over Kentlake at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 52-23.
Auburn Mountainview got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Sebastian Arius out in front who scored 18 points along with six assists and four steals. Arius also posted two blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Mande Wanlemvo, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Auburn Riverside's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Auburn Mountainview, they pushed their record up to 10-6 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home.
Auburn Riverside might still be hurting after the 76-54 loss they got from Auburn Mountainview in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. Can Auburn Riverside avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
