After flying high against McGehee  last Thursday, Baptist Prep came back down to earth. Baptist Prep took  a  15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quitman Bulldogs on Friday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their  loss the last time these teams played  back in February of 2022.

 Nolan Boyette and  Nick Boyette did some serious damage despite the final result:  Nolan  scored a  run while going 2-for-4, while  Nick  scored two  runs while going 2-for-5. The dominant performance also gave  Nick a new career-high in  doubles (two). Another player making a difference was  Aaron Fielder, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-4.
 They weren't the only ones working in the  hit department: Baptist Prep  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now  got at least eight  hits in six consecutive  matches.
Baptist Prep's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of away wins  and  brought them to 8-2. As for Quitman, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record  this season.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Baptist Prep will welcome Perryville  at 9:00  a.m.  on Thursday. As for Quitman, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Nemo Vista  at 8:00  p.m.  on Friday.
