After losing to the St. Mary Eagles the last time they met, the Brimley Bays decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Brimley blew past St. Mary 69-33 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Brimley.
Perry LeBlanc continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 46 points and 3 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Brimley's points. Trey Lynn was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 8 assists and 8 rebounds.
Brimley's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for St. Mary, they have fallen quite a ways from their 20-4 record last season and are now at 1-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brimley will take on Rudyard at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for St. Mary, they will head out on the road to face off against Kalkaska at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
