Softball Recap: Longview Has No Trouble Against Lindale

Longview lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Lindale, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Saturday's matchup. The Longview Lobos put the hurt on the Lindale Eagles with a sharp 12-5 victory on Saturday. Considering the Lobos have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

Longview pushed their record up to 9-6 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Lindale, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Longview will be playing at home against Pittsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Lindale, they will take on Beckville in a tournament on Saturday. Beckville's pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so Lindale's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
