Lakeshore extended the longest winning streak in Southwestern Michigan - West this week by beating Hamilton, 52-14. This was the team's 11th consecutive win.
Lakeshore took down the Hawkeyes 52-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. JOHNNY NATE threw for 216 yards and one touchdown and ran for 41 yards in the win.
Brok Lamorandier was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 202 yards on 22 carries as Mattawan defeated Hamilton. Trevor Sweeney also contributed to the rushing game with 117 yards on the ground.
WIGGINS was the best wideout in the league this week as the Lancers bested Chris Myers' team. WIGGINS tallied three receptions for 176 yards. ZACK ELLIS helped Lakeshore's passing attack out by catching one ball for 40 yards.
Lakeshore's NATE and WIGGINS have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Southwestern Michigan - West in both passing and receiving yards. NATE has thrown for 1575 yards this season, while WIGGINS, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 48 catches for 813 yards. The Wildcats' Sweeney leads the league in rushing yards with 1675.
Alex Rutherford has rushed for 912 yards on 173 carries so far this year.
The Lancers led the league in scoring this week after putting up 52 points on the Hawkeyes. NATE in the win.
