The New Canaan Rams will head out on the road to face off against the St. Joseph Cadets at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. New Canaan is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
On Friday, New Canaan made easy work of Westhill and carried off a 3-0 victory.
New Canaan not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Westhill between 18 and 21 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-18, 25-18.

Mia Lockyer was nothing short of spectacular: she had 18 digs and two aces. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in assists (11).
Meanwhile, St. Joseph beat McMahon 3-1 on Monday. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Senators recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
St. Joseph had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 19-25, 25-17, 25-23, 25-18.
St. Joseph's win came from a few key players New Canaan will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Sarah Lovett, who had 20 kills, two aces, and one block. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Lilly Kugit, who had 32 assists and two aces.
They weren't the only good servers: St. Joseph was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in three consecutive matchups.
The victory got St. Joseph back to even at 8-8. As for New Canaan, their record is now 12-2.
New Canaan skirted past St. Joseph 3-2 in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
