Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Holy Cross Catholic Academy). They snuck past the Kingdom Prep Academy Warriors with a 53-47 victory on Saturday.

Holy Cross Catholic Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabel Britten, who posted 21 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Britten has scored at least a third of Holy Cross Catholic Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Lisbeth Vazquez, who had 17 points.

Holy Cross Catholic Academy's record is now 2-6. As for Kingdom Prep Academy, their loss was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing All Saints Episcopal School the next time they take the court. Holy Cross Catholic Academy will head out to face All Saints Episcopal School at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Kingdom Prep Academy will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on January 31st.
