Volleyball Recap: Ingomar Victorious

Ingomar saw some tournament action on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Tishomingo County Braves.

While Ingomar won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-20.

Ingomar can attribute much of their success to Bella Phifer, who had nine kills and four aces. Phifer is on a roll when it comes to kills, as she's now had six or more in each of the last four games she's played dating back to last season.

Phifer wasn't the only good server: Ingomar was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in eight consecutive matches dating back to last season.

The victory got Ingomar back to even at 1-1.

Ingomar didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Pine Grove on the 5th. Tishomingo County has also already played their next game (against Ripley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
