Baseball Recap: Marion County Comes Up Short

Marion County blew Middle Tennessee Monarchs out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Saturday Middle Tennessee Monarchs got their revenge. The Warriors fell just short of Middle Tennessee Monarchs by a score of 10-8. The Warriors were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Middle Tennessee Monarchs apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2019.

Marion County saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Tipton, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Tipton has become a key player for the Warriors: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise.

Marion County's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Middle Tennessee Monarchs, their victory bumped their record up to 11-14.
