It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Lewistown Indians had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 61-27 victory over the Spartans. The win was nothing new for Lewistown as they're now sitting on six straight.
It was another big night for Lexi Kruzan, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Another player making a difference was Abby Wiegand, who scored six points along with six steals.
Lewistown pushed their record up to 17-13 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.8 points per game. As for Bushnell-Prairie City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-27.
Lewistown will face off against Cuba/Spoon River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Bushnell-Prairie City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
