Muir waltzed into their game  on Wednesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the New Roads Jaguars with a sharp  13-3 victory. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Conrad Hunziker made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  struck out seven batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and not a single walk). What's more,  he gave up only zero  walks, the fewest he's  had since back in February of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played.
 In other batting news,  Kahlil Rishwain was  incredible,  scoring three  runs and  stealing  Three bases. while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. That's the most  stolen bases  he has posted since back in March of 2024.  Luca Cano also deserves some recognition as  he  brought in his first  RBI of the season.
 Muir  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .531. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their  OBP total in four consecutive  matches.
Muir pushed their record up to 8-3 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.3 runs over those games. As for New Roads, their loss dropped their record down to 4-4.
 Looking ahead, Muir will venture away from home to  challenge Wilson  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday. As for New Roads, they will host Burbank  at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
