Evergreen - West recap Sept. 26, 2012
Proctor Academy's Ryan Peel recorded the longest rushing play in Evergreen - West this season in his game against Kents Hill School last week. Peel ran for 62 yards on the play and finished with 112 on the day as his team defeated the Huskies.
Holderness and Hebron Academy played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Holderness eventually emerging with a 21-19 victory.
Proctor Academy's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Sam Barrett threw for 12 yards and Chandler Hoefle had 12 yards receiving. On the ground Blake Joppy chipped in 142 yards.
Proctor Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Hornets feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Barrett has thrown for 12 yards this season, while Hoefle has one catches for 12 yards. Joppy leads the league in rushing with 142 yards.
The top two teams in Evergreen - West will face off this week when first place Proctor Academy takes on second place Pingree. Last week, Ben Rulli's team defeated Kents Hill School, while Pingree bested Portsmouth Abbey.
The Hornets took down Steve Gritti's team 36-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joppy in the win.
