Rockhurst is a perfect 4-0 against Pembroke Hill since April of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Hawklets will challenge the Raiders at 4:30 p.m.

On Monday, Rockhurst came up short against Creighton Prep and fell 4-1.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Pembroke Hill ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. Everything went their way against Winnetonka as they made off with a 14-7 win. Considering the Raiders have won eight contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Sohan Sanjanwala was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching 4.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Sanjanwala was even better at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

In other batting news, Langston Smith was a standout: he went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Washington, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI and one run.

Pembroke Hill always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .521. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .521 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

Pembroke Hill is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.1 runs over those games. As for Rockhurst, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-12.

Rockhurst beat Pembroke Hill 11-7 in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawklets since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
