Make it eight blowout wins for the Lincoln Trojans this season. They really took it to Woodcreek for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-36 win on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Lincoln has posted since December 14, 2023.
Quentin Thompson was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Donez Lindsey, who scored 11 points along with five assists and two blocks.
Despite the loss, Woodcreek saw an underclassman step up: Max VanLaningham scored nine points.
Lincoln has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Woodcreek, their loss dropped their record down to 15-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lincoln will take on Tracy at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Tracy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 754th, while Lincoln is ranked 57th). As for Woodcreek, they will be playing in front of their home fans against River Valley at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
