Santa Fe has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Eastside Rams at TBD on Wednesday. Santa Fe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 404th, while the Rams are ranked 187th).
On Monday, Santa Fe earned a 35-26 victory over the Indians. The win was just what Santa Fe needed coming off of a 59-15 defeat in their prior game.
Santa Fe got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Natalie Chohan out in front who scored ten points along with four steals. Deziah Jones was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Eastside came up short against the Panthers on Thursday and fell 51-40. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Eastside in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now lost four in a row.
Santa Fe's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Eastside, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-8.
Santa Fe took a serious blow against the Rams in their previous meeting on Tuesday, falling 59-25. Can Santa Fe avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
