When it comes to explaining why Notre Dame lost, one person who can't be blamed is Selena Wilson. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 27 points and 18 rebounds. Wilson scored a full 61.4% of Notre Dame's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Emily Besten, who scored six points along with nine rebounds.
Trinity Christian now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Notre Dame, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Trinity Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Preston at 12:00 p.m. on January 6, 2024. Notre Dame is on the road again on Thursday and play against Doddridge County at 7:45 p.m. on December 28th. Doddridge County will be coming into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
