The Nuview Bridge Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Temecula Prep Patriots at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Nuview Bridge is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-16, which was the final score in Nuview Bridge's tilt against Saint Jeanne de Lestonnac Catholic School on Thursday. Nuview Bridge was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-14.
Meanwhile, even though San Jacinto Valley Academy scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, Temecula Prep still came out on top. Temecula Prep narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past San Jacinto Valley Academy 68-66. The victory was just what Temecula Prep needed coming off of a 78-47 loss in their prior match.
Nuview Bridge bumped their record down to 0-6 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.5 points per game. As for Temecula Prep, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.
Nuview Bridge lost to Temecula Prep on the road by a decisive 61-43 margin in their previous meeting back in January. Can Nuview Bridge avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
