Myers Park lost a heartbreaker the last time they played South Mecklenburg, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's matchup. The Mustangs blew past the Sabres 40-14 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won six contests by 26 points or more so far this season.

Josh Falzarano Jr produced another solid effort rushing for 202 yards and four scores. Those 202 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Ramir Watson was another key player, rushing for 95 yards on only ten carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Myers Park was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 297 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Myers Park's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-2. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points over those games. As for South Mecklenburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-3.

Myers Park does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for South Mecklenburg, they will be playing at home against Palisades at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Pumas' defense has only allowed 12.8 points per game this season, so the Sabres' offense will have their work cut out for them.
