It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Archbishop McCarthy had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They didn't even let American onto the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for Archbishop McCarthy, who have now won seven games by three goals or more so far this season.
They hit American with a eight-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Francesca Durand (3),
Michaela Carter (2), and
Layla Naser.
Archbishop McCarthy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-1-3 record this season. As for American, their loss dropped their record down to 3-7-1.
Archbishop McCarthy will face off against Pembroke Pines Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. American does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
