The Solebury Spartans can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent match on Thursday. Everything went their way against Varsity Opponent as Solebury made off with a 70-48 victory. Solebury pushed the score to 65-32 by the end of the third, a deficit Varsity Opponent cut but never quite recovered from.
Solebury's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Joell Idrovo led the charge by scoring 19 points. Idrovo hasn't dropped below 19 points for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Makhai Anderson, who scored 16 points.
Solebury pushed their record up to 14-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Varsity Opponent, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 30 of their last 33 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 396-1431-2 record this season.
Solebury will square off against Tournament Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Solebury knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past 12 contests -- so hopefully Tournament Opponent likes a good challenge. As for Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-41 defeat vs. Bethel Christian Academy on the 8th.
