The Gadsden County Jaguars lost against the FAMU DRS Baby Rattlers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Gadsden County fell just short of the Baby Rattlers by a score of 33-31.
Gadsden County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Camyria Clemons, who scored eight points along with four steals. Clemons has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Eliana Key, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
FAMU DRS got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Nivre Green out in front who scored four points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. It was the first time this season that Green pulled down eight or more rebounds.
Gadsden County has traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for FAMU DRS, their victory bumped their record up to 5-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Gadsden County will square off against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in Lincoln's favor as the squad sits on seven straight wins at home while the Jaguars have been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road. As for FAMU DRS, they will take on the Lions at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Leon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 44 on Tuesday.
