The Auburn Adventist Falcons came tearing into Wednesday's match with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 28 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 60-48 win over Sound Christian. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Auburn Adventist also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Auburn Adventist got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Gabe Delgadillo out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 14 points and nine assists. Delgadillo has been hot recently, having posted three or more steals the last five times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Russell, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Sound Christian still got an impressive performance from AJ Alexeev, who scored 26 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Alexeev has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 15 times he's played. Another player making a difference was David Mesler, who scored 17 points.
Auburn Adventist's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. As for Sound Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 14-5.
Auburn Adventist does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sound Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Summit Classical Christian School at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Sound Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up eight on Wednesday.
