On Tuesday, the Damonte Ranch Mustangs faced the Bishop Manogue Miners in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Damonte Ranch was beaten by Bishop Manogue 59-31. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Damonte Ranch has suffered since December 14, 2023.
Despite the defeat, Damonte Ranch had strong showings from Josie Tierney, who scored eight points along with six rebounds, and Mya Ghisletta, who scored eight points.
Damonte Ranch's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-10. As for Bishop Manogue, the win was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Damonte Ranch will take on Reed at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Reed is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses. As for Bishop Manogue, they will be playing at home against Douglas at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Douglas is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
