The Humansville Tigers will head out on the road to challenge the Halfway Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Humansville is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Last Tuesday, Humansville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Northeast Vernon County, but they still walked away with a 41-37 victory.
While Halfway couldn't quite beat Lighthouse Christian on Tuesday, the three-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 39-point loss they were dealt on Friday. Halfway fell just short of Lighthouse Christian by a score of 50-47. Halfway has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Humansville's win bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Halfway, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-10.
Humansville lost to Halfway on the road by a decisive 66-50 margin in their previous meeting back in November of 2023. Can Humansville avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
