The Liberty Bison will square off against the Arlington Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Liberty is coming into the contest hot, having won their last five games.
Liberty proved they can win big on Wednesday (they won by 12) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-6 win over Hemet. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Bison have posted since February 26th.
Janessa Guigliano spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and one unearned) runs on 12 hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent : she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Yasmine Lopez was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Cameryn Rutkoff, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.
Lopez wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Liberty kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Arlington made easy work of Rancho Verde last Friday and carried off a 7-1 win. The Lions haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
The team relied heavily on Lorena Ricasa, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Ryleigh Pliego was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while going 1-for-3.
Liberty's win bumped their record up to 10-7. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Liberty hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1.3 home runs per game. However, it's not like Arlington struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Liberty came out on top in a nail-biter against Arlington in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 5-4. Will Liberty repeat their success, or does Arlington has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
