Metropolitan Learning Center lost against Academy of Science and Innovation back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result  on Thursday.  Despite the  defeat, Metropolitan Learning Center saw an underclassman step up: sophomore  Davion Nicholson  posted 14  points. That's the most points  Nicholson has posted since back in December of 2024.  Mekhi Benjamin was another key player,  putting up seven  points.
 Academy of Science and Innovation's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Warlin Franco, who  went 7-for-14  on his way to 14 points in addition to six  assists and six  boards. Franco is also on a roll when it comes to  shooting accuracy, as he's  posted one of at least 50% in the last four games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Lebron White, who  went 6-for-8  to rack up 12  points and six  steals.
This is the second loss in a row for Metropolitan Learning Center and  nudges their season record down to 7-12. As for Academy of Science and Innovation, the  victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 18-1.
 Metropolitan Learning Center has  already played their next  matchup (against Suffield), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Academy of Science and Innovation also has no score uploaded for their next  game, this one against Cromwell.
