This season hasn't been kind to the Bentley Phoenix, who are still winless after their sixth match. They took a hard 56-39 fall against Tennyson on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Bentley can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1200th, while Tennyson is ranked 594th).
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tennyson to victory, but perhaps none more so than Paolo Barroga, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds. Larrie Noble was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Bentley's defeat was their fifth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Tennyson, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-4.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bentley will take on Head-Royce at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tennyson, they will be playing at home against Hayward at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
