The Tabb Tigers lost against the New Kent Trojans back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Tabb was dealt a 72-40 defeat at the hands of New Kent. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Tabb in their matchups with New Kent: they've now lost five in a row.
Tabb's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Micah Marbra, who scored 9 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Siegel, who scored 7 points.
Kyle Diggs had a dynamite game for New Kent, scoring 19 points along with 7 steals and 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marty Wray, who scored 7 points along with 4 steals.
Tabb's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for New Kent, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tabb will take on Grafton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for New Kent, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bruton at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Bruton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Wednesday.
